Disappointed - Length Measurement

I am disappointed. I have a 12" Starrett Combo Square (second photo) which is my daily measuring tool. I use it often. So I decided to buy a 24" ruler to use with my square head. Accuracy 0, 0001" by 6" 0.0025mm. The paper I used to test the rule is 0.075mm +/- 0.001 wide (quite accurate at 20 points), about 0.003". In the second photo, my 12- Inch Starrett ruler in both cases the flatness of the surface. The sides say they are rounded but when I used my 24" sprocket it also tells me it is more rounded on one side than the yellow paper (third and fourth photos), but if you reverse the length, this suggests that the surface is concave in the same place, if Starrett has an accuracy of 0.0001" for 6", the maximum error must be the 24". -Usually be 0.0004" or less. But there is a big difference from just over r 0.003. "If you can't trust Starrett, then who can you trust? The wood in the photo is mahogany (very durable). Hand planed with a Veritas jointer planer, extremely flat, not the flattest of them all
