Yes, you can use it to solve your own PS3 blur problems.

The product is great, it works exactly as described and fixed the blur on my PS3. It seemed a little intimidating to do this project myself but then I realized what I had to lose, PS3 is just a glorified DVD player if I don't fix it. I slowly walked the steps as directed (instructions can be found on YouTube). All of this took about 30 minutes (it's very methodical). I was very surprised when everything worked out when I got back together.
