Not Renter Friendly — Doesn’t Remove Well

I got this for my college apartment that was surrounded by frats to try to make it a little quieter, and it helped maybe a small amount but I don’t know if it was because of this product or the heavy curtains I put over my windows. However when my lease ended last month I could not for the life of me remove it from my windows. I ended spending hours trying different ways to get it off so I wouldn’t risk losing my security deposit. I ended up using a scrub daddy soaked in rubbing alcohol and then a coin wrapped in a soaked paper towel to scrape off the the adhesive. In hindsight, I don’t believe this product is worth the time and energy to remove it. Would not recommend to anyone who wants to take it down eventually.

Pros
  • Foam Strip Application—The adhesive foam strips are widely used in various door seal and window insulation, furniture, electrical cabinets, cars, speakers, toys, handicrafts, sports equipments, etc.
Cons
  • It may cause damage or discoloration to certain surfaces
