I used two of these fans to retrofit a cooker hood. I have a weird old case design with an irregular fan and didn't want to completely replace all the ducts and such. Enter those muffin fans. They work great and draw air better than the old block. They're loud, and that was particularly bad in my application because they resonated with sheet metal and ducts, but after some sound absorption with automotive dampening material I made them manageable. I would have preferred they were loud and running than quiet and not, I also knew they wouldn't be quiet when I got them so here's the thing. I've had them installed since October 20th and it's now July 21st and they're working fine.
