I've been using Minwax Helmsman Spar Urethane Spray for more years than I can count and it really is the best. It offers excellent and long-lasting protection for all types of items, especially items that are left outdoors and exposed to the elements. I highly recommend this product. However, make sure you spray in a well-ventilated area and use a mask as the odor is quite strong. Also, it is best to keep the item somewhere else and away from the house while it is drying, otherwise it will stink all over the room.
