Review on Perixx Peripad-202H Black Wired Numeric Keypad With X-Scissor Keys, 2 USB Hubs, And Tab Key For Enhanced Productivity by Rob Kerr

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Would be good product for the price, but mine's defective.

I got this 10-key numeric pad because the 10-key pad of my Microsoft Ergonomic keyboard is blocked by my mouse now, with this fancy ergonomic keyboard/mouse tray I have. The numbers and words on the 10-key pad are nice and big, but the keypad has a couple of problems, most importantly of which, is that it randomly sends double-keypresses when I'm using it, so I have to constantly go back and edit numbers I enter. It's incredibly annoying. It was especially annoying when I was having computer issues, and so I kept having to enter that huge Bitlocker recovery key every time I'd restart, and that's when I noticed that the keypad kept inserting extra keypresses. For instance, if I pressed 1-2-3, the computer would receive "1223" sometimes. It's not predictable, either--seems like maybe some kind of signaling issue? Anyway, between that and the fact that the backspace key is where the dash/minus key is on my normal keyboard 10-key pad (so I keep hitting backspace on accident), I will be replacing this thing. Thank goodness it was cheap, because I apparently can no longer return it. :-/
