The wood comes in an incredibly thin box which is a bit of a problem. The base was solid and the thumbscrews screwed in easily to secure the base. I struggled to unroll the bottom of the tree as directed because one branch was wrapped around many others like a zip tie. Since I couldn't see what was causing the problem, I removed the branches from under the problematic branch and cut off one at the end (see photo). However, after spending 1 hour creating a circular pattern with branches from scratch, I was able to fill 80% of the space. The top piece just slides in with no set screw, so you have to move the tree by the bottom trunk. I was happy with the coverage of the knots but not happy that some of the knots were noticeably lopsided due to the dense packing (see 2nd photo). I also took photos of any parts that fell off during installation, but they are small and that's to be expected. I ordered mini silver jewelry and hooks to fill the remaining space. Overall it would have been 5 stars if they hadn't packed it so tightly which damaged some of the lower branches. Luminaires must have a white wire or they will be difficult to see and look bad. These lights are harder to find, but they sell white lights or string lights that match white tree branches. I think the unique color and medium size lends itself well to making a second, non-traditional tree or a main tree with a 2ft box underneath.
