I buy a lot of jewelry online for resale and for my personal collection. Sometimes I get into a situation where I order a ring in one size and receive it in a different size. I recently bought a ring that should have been a size 8. I'm actually a size 7.5 but I like a size 8 so I can wear it on either arm. When the ring arrived it didn't even hit my knuckle. The salesman swore it was an eight because "she wears an eight and it suits her," as if that were the end of the whole problem. Anyway, I bought it because of the great reviews - heavy steel, engraved dimensions, accuracy etc. When it arrived I tried a few other rings I bought that were figure eights and they were all figure eights. I tried the "I'm an 8 and it suits me" 8 on a spike and you know what?! It was a 7. Not a 7.5, not a 7.75, but I can barely get it to the 7 7 mark. I took some photos of the ring on the mandrel and got my money back for the ring, not a size 8. In this one store this item has already paid for itself and will be my starting point for evaluating my future purchases! Very good! And it saved me from going to the jeweler!
