Review on 🎧 Compact and Versatile: Introducing the Creative Labs NOMAD MuVo 64 MB MP3 Player by Aaron Masek

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Great - works so far

This is a great product as long as it works. It's compact, reliable, and easy to use (just drag and drop music files onto the player as if it were a removable disk). But beware: it will NOT fail. I've had three and all failed completely within a year - one within two months. Once your player fails, you're out of luck. There is almost no creative support; but if you can track it, you have to pay $20 to have them "look" at it and eventually almost $80 to have it replaced. In defense of this product, it can be argued that many MP3 players have finite lifespans (e.g. even iPod batteries expire within a few years and are costly or impossible to replace) so it can be argued that a product defect does do not appear on their own. Reason to avoid this product (so it doesn't get just one star). But MuVo just doesn't last long enough to justify the price: Two months of 128MB of music for $90 (or 64MB for $80) just doesn't compare to a year or more of lots of gigabytes for a few Hundred (even overpriced Porsche players, iPod mini can be purchased for $250).

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Fits
