This belt meets my expectations. He's holding my pants! While not the most stylish, it does the job I want without the bulk of a regular belt buckle. So easy to unzip and store away. I thought it might open by itself when I first saw it, but so far it hasn't. I'm trying to lose weight so I don't want to buy new pants and my smaller pants don't fit my waist as well as I would like (yes I'm a little overweight in the middle and too cheap to buy big pants! - fucking middle age ). I used to use the "elastic band" trick on my pants, but had trouble with having to constantly pull the pants up. Jeans (which I'll fit into someday!) and I don't have to constantly pull up my pants! Win win in my book. If you're looking for something that "looks" good, this isn't it. It's functional and it works. Some reviewers noted that it's plastic. Yes, that's right. but I bet there are so many things they use (like car parts). I don't hear them complain about it. plastic hard plastic. I don't see it breaking very easily. It's not the cheap plastic that containers are made of, or the plastic that turns yellow and brittle in the sun. Forget it's plastic. It works. I only gave it 3 stars for the "gift" part because I think it would be an odd gift for someone unless they specifically asked for it. otherwise 5 stars!
