This little part has been a lifesaver for my cats! I mounted it on the opposite side of my VenTech VT IF4+CF4 IF4CF412 Inline Duct Fan with Virgin Carbon Filter Charcoal using the following 3M Utility Duct Tape 2929 Silver, 1.88" x 50 yd 5.8 mil (pack of 1). .Combo, 190 CFM, 4". When I installed the fan I had to leave it on as I noticed my children's cats kept approaching it and trying to put their heads or paws in it which could be fatal. There are no sharp edges sides. on this one, and there was no resistance, allowing my airbrush to run at top speed without losing pressure. Not only does this keep animals away from the fan, it also keeps my kids fingers away.
