Review on ๐Ÿงฐ Rockwell RK9002 JawHorse Sheetmaster Workstation - Ultimate Portable Solution by Nathan Skipper

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Jaws "melted " but no more problems after release

Update: Welding problems were not observed. Managed to release the stuck sliding section with a light tap and so far it hasn't re-locked. Used for a time to hold a heavy piece of wood for a jackknife job and held everything in place. I'm starting to look into this case more, but I need more time. Original: Arrived two days late in a torn box with melted jaws. I tried gently prying it off with my foot as it unlocked and released, but it didn't work. Read the other reviews which led me to believe it was probably a bad weld and poor Rockwell quality control. Maybe tomorrow I'll try to try harder and see if I can solve this with a lot more effort. As mentioned in other reviews, while most tools appear to be "bomb proof," they have plastic parts and other quirks that definitely won't survive. Well made but the instrument could have lasted a lifetime or more were it not for the Achilles heel of the wobbly hind leg and the plastic handle. UPDATE AFTER MANY YEARS: still going strong. There is no noticeable deterioration in plastic parts.

Pros
  • Excellent overall performance
Cons
  • Hard to tell
