Although the instructions are a little long and imprecise, the kit is a great way to easily replace zips once you know what to do. The insert that says "Clothing Set Contents" is the most useful because it tells you the size of each zipper and whether they are metal or plastic zippers. You simply pull the current zipper off the top of the zipper with pliers, replace the zipper with the correct size and material design (metal or plastic zipper teeth), and press the new metal zipper against the top of the zipper track that the zipper sits on if the product is "open" (including zippers). Realizing I was trying to fit a copper colored zipper (for metal teeth) into my sweatshirt's plastic zipper teeth, I switched to a black zipper meant for plastic teeth and it went on like a dream. I now have plenty of zip flops for all my typical city wear in case they need replacing.
