Review on πŸ”οΈ Adidas Trailcross Mountain Men's Shoes by Five Ten - Optimized for Athletic Performance by Ronald Dimatulac

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Lighter, more breathable and better fitting than the 510 Freerider I previously bought.

After taking these shoes for 2 days of mountain biking in the DuPont State Forest in North Carolina, I can say that I would happily buy them before buying a freeride model. Lightweight, breathable, quick-drying shoe with reliable toe protection from rocks and roots on the trail. So far they've been fairly badly beaten on almost 100 miles of rides but show no signs of major damage. Strong pedal traction on even the roughest terrain I've encountered. The 510 brand is a true mountain bike shoe for those who ride flat pedals. I don't think they'll wear out anytime soon, but when they do wear out I'll buy another pair.

Pros
  • The shoe has a reinforced toe box for extra protection and durability.
Cons
  • Heel cup does not stay in place
