If you need a 100% fully impermeable marker paper exclusively for traditional marker paper with the same benefits of using blended media to blend gel pens, gansai watercolors, gouache or pencils then then is this for you! Not only is it overall less weird than using Bristol since you don't have to complicate/plan the panels as much due to accessing multiple papers, but it's also less manageable. While this is certainly easier, it also takes away a lot of flexibility. 1. Cons: I would say I don't really recommend them for heavy blending. The blending is more akin to layering watercolor/ink than a traditional marker, meaning you can only layer so much like with these mediums. Also, the paper can take so much marker layer before it barely registers, or it just doesn't work from light to dark. I highly recommend doing what I did and getting some good quality gel pens to finish the blending. This is the only way the background can look so good. If you're painting with light colors, this should be little or no problem. But if you have a dark illustration/comic like I have above, this is important to note. Another downside is that it's not a fully mixed media, but that's to be expected when it supports markers and dry media in this way. it is as it is reversed on wet paper. If you do watercolor work, I disagree with that at all. I used my watercolor markers which have high quality pigments with a huge wet brush and it handled horribly. This isn't a total loss, however, as it copes very well with wet environments that aren't traditional western watercolors. My tastes with diluted gel pens, watercolor Hanse and gouache were pretty good or even great. My final downside is that because the paper is a little grayer I don't recommend using skin tones at all unless they are light. like the new Ohuhu Marker Skin Tones Set of 24. I have my 6 sets of Copic Ciao Markers used and the light peach among other colors came across more like gray and almost didn't really stand out. There is also a slight discoloration as the paper is grey, but this can be seen as a plus or a minus. Overall great paper for comics. 8.5/10. Would buy again.
