I bought this Zhiyun Smooth 4 kit to use with a GoPro Hero7 as it came with a GoPro camera adapter. When I tried to use it, I found that the gimbal didn't keep the camera level when moving in an arc from foot to head. That's what I mean. To perform this move, extend your arm straight out to the side at a 90-degree angle with the gimbal handle in line with your arm and the camera facing forward, then rotate your arm toward you Shoulder to turn the camera from your foot to your head along with camera. always facing forward. The gimbal does not hold the camera straight in this 180 degree arc. In fact, at some point it becomes shaky and changes direction. This 180-degree camera-level stabilization is fundamental to my use as a stabilizer, and I'm shocked that the Zhiyun Smooth 4 doesn't do it. a stabilizer for 1-axis stabilization as the Hero7 itself has excellent internal stabilization and really negates the need for an external stabilizer except for leveling as I described with that 180 degree arc. Zhiyun's Stabilizer seems to be well made, but another major downside, even if it could do decent stabilization, is that it's extremely heavy. So heavy that I couldn't keep it horizontal for long, making the Zhiyun Smooth 4 unusable, especially when used with a pole extender.
