I needed a passenger side blind spot camera, not a backup camera, for my car restoration project where I was going through an old AM radio replaced a new head unit model unit with rear view camera function. Since the reversing cameras work with the reversing light to activate the view of the head unit, connecting the power to the right turn signal worked, but it turned on and off with the turn signal flashing. To solve this problem I tried to use a conventional time delay relay but I didn't succeed until I found a model "timers.shop" called "Multifunctional Time Delay Relay 3-18V, 5 Amp". This allowed me to program the unit with a feature that resets the time delay after each signal flash (Function 12). When I turned on the right turn signal, the head unit activated my blind spot camera for 6 seconds. Since my turn signals flash every 2 seconds, the 6 second clock resets to a new 6 seconds with each flash. The result worked great and allowed the camera to stay on all the time as long as the right turn signal was on and off 6 seconds after the last flash. There were many other features in the same device, but the blind spot camera lag was exactly what I was looking for.
