Review on Optoma BM-5001U Low Profile Black Projector Ceiling Mount for Optoma by Caleb Quade

I bought this for my flat ceiling mount for my UHD50 projector. The holes in the plate attached to the top of the projector do not match the holes in the projector. Called Optoma customer service and was told this mount does not work with UHD 50, although they claim it will fit most Optoma projectors. Of course, I wish it was clear on their website what goes with UHD 50. They recommended the Optoma OCM818W-RU, but the negative reviews for this mount didn't inspire me to play around with it. So I drilled additional holes in the top plate of this mount to make this mount work. The mount is actually very well built, of high quality and works incredibly well. I just wish they would sell it with a top mounting plate for the UHD50 or at least state in the UHD50 literature which mount to use.
