Review on KYB 343460 Excel-G Gas Shock Absorber, Black/Silver by Kevin Greer

I could never figure out how the top of this shock is supposed to work. The original has large rubber grommets above and below the car mount area in the trunk. It has a bottom rubber grommet with a small section that pushes through that hole and nothing goes in the machine and there are no instructions on how it's supposed to work. Lower the hanger to mount the tire and your rig will fall back through the mounting hole in the trunk. I used one of the old bushings, cut out a tapered section and placed it in the top of the bushing, then used the original washer and a new bolt. Seems solid and finally calm after living with Monroe's mental turmoil for many years. -1 star for terrible instructions
