Just great for parts

You will be surprised at the difference they make, my shock absorbers were burned out but the car ran fine so I ignored the signs for over a year finally got them and wow My Civic Rims are like new again

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Not reliable

Perfect Rear Shocks for 2007 Honda Civic EX Sedan

They replaced two year old Monrxx shocks on our 2007 Honda Civic EX Sedan. They feel and drive a lot better than the old ones. Install the upper part of the shock absorber first, then insert the lower one. (You may need to use a small jack underneath to align the screw.

Pros
  • Price
Cons
  • Some Imperfections

Good Shock: Shocks, struts and suspension

Not a bad setup. You must bleed the shocks prior to installation, and installation requires you to hold the end with an Allen wrench to install the nut. Makes it boring but good. They improved my handling a bit! The kit doesn't include both parts of the upper sleeve, so I'm giving 4 stars. I just reused my old one now.

Pros
  • Few competitors
Cons
  • Crumpled

Nice rear shock absorber for Honda Civic Hybrid

These rear shock absorbers improved the ride. Let me mention that if installed on a 2009 generation hybrid, you will need to remove the battery vent to properly replace the right rear shock. This was not done on the previous installation (factory?), the top hex was broken and I had to use a saber saw to remove it. Removing the vent takes 4 minutes. Do this instead of trying to inflict a new shock in a faster and more terrifying way.

Pros
  • Delivery was very fast
Cons
  • Ugly packaging

These shocks take 20 minutes to swap out, but thanks to the redesigned lower bracket, it took over 3 hours. The problem is that the bolt was fused into the socket and didn't give up. nothing worked - oil seeping in, grips heating up - I ended up cutting it all off and we're talking about 1.5 inches of steel in an awkward spot. So you can order these screws too - I bought two after the first side and was right because the other side also had to be cut As for the product - I really like it!

Poor quality shocks, struts and suspension

These shock absorbers were replaced last year, exactly 11 months and 14 days ago one started knocking when driving over bumps, checked whether the screw was loose (there are only 2 holding the device. Felt the device click when Someone then clicks on the car.No and problems happen after all I have a lifetime warranty, WRONG!, KYB sends me back to Revain, totally surprised they didn't take care of the problem, I gave them an invoice which Revain has taken care of me, but when a manufacturer…

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Instruction No.

Best for 8th gen Civic for shocks, struts and suspension

Despite some bad reviews, take a chance with these pups and there's no need to buy OEM for such a versatile item. The resistance surprised me, I feel soft, it's easy to squeeze with my hands, but I'm not a mechanic. Judging by some YouTube videos this can be done by hand but there is a risk of the old bottom screws binding. In this case you will have to cut the screws, and I don't have such a tool, so just let professionals do it. Honda recommends using new bottom bolts so I ordered a couple…

solid converter but instructions useless for civilian install

I could never figure out how the top of this shock is supposed to work. The original has large rubber grommets above and below the car mount area in the trunk. It has a bottom rubber grommet with a small section that pushes through that hole and nothing goes in the machine and there are no instructions on how it's supposed to work. Lower the hanger to mount the tire and your rig will fall back through the mounting hole in the trunk. I used one of the old bushings, cut out a tapered section and…

Excellent shock absorber but top bushings missing internally

Good quality shock absorbers. Looks almost identical to the OEM but feels like it surpasses the original. After 110,000 miles my Civic had to be replaced because the rear suspension felt springy, especially when carrying rear passengers. My OEM has not expired but has lost its original performance. One thing everyone should know when shocks ARE NOT SUPPLIED WITH TOP BUSHINGS! Monroe shocks will do. I don't know why it's not there, but what you see in the picture is exactly what you get. Luckily
