I previously bought another camera and returned it. It just didn't work. Then I bought this one thinking the same thing but it's my fault it didn't work the first time. I forgot to attach the antenna to the camera and also to the monitor. Once I did that, it worked perfectly. I use a Porsche Cayenne to tow a 20ft car transporter (included). I put a camera in the back to see the hitch and it didn't take me long to get the car in place. I then attached a camera to the back of the trailer just to see if I could see anything on the monitor (vehicle length 16ft plus trailer about 22ft) and I could still see something to help reverse the trailer to park . So overall I'm very happy with this camera. Can't rate battery life or night vision yet as I've only used it once.
