    Works perfectly! Security

I fitted this handle to my new trailer door so I could close it from the inside as it only came with a large latch system and we couldn't keep the door closed until we were inside the trailer . Although it was intimidating to crash into my new door, the installation went much better than I expected as I had never done anything like this before. I recommend making a template like I did beforehand so you're sure the placement is correct before you start cutting holes in your door, but I think if…

Please note this review: You will be locked out of your RV.

I bought this lock because it was relatively cheap compared to other locks and there seemed to be enough good reviews. BUT to my dismay I couldn't open the bolt and had to pay someone to come and open the bolt. Another problem with this lock is inserting the key. Keys are very difficult to insert into keyholes. Although uncomfortable, I was "ok" with it. BUT being completely blocked due to what appears to be poor latch design is a GREAT COINCIDENCE. I've spent over 2 hours of my life sitting in

    Poor quality good for locks

Although no instructions were included it was easy to install by removing the old set of locks in reverse order. Everything seemed to work fine but when I locked the deadbolt it got stuck and I had to call a locksmith to remove the lock! It took him quite a while to get access and he wanted to find a solution and thought the problem was solved. During this time he ended up outside in our camper with his tools! I passed the tools through the window and from there he dismantled the lock. The lock

Do not buy without an open door or window

I bought this door lock because the key on my old one was bent. The assembly went well except for the cheap screws. Locking the door from the inside was perfect. Locking and unlocking the door from the outside is a different story. I always had trouble putting the key in the lock. I figured it was just new and if I use it more often it will sort itself out. Boy was I wrong. I'm coming home tonight and I can't get the key in the lock. Tried to put the key in the door for 5 minutes. Finally I…

    *** ATTENTION - DANGEROUS DEFECT ***

Be very careful. Our closure had a serious defect with potentially fatal consequences. The internal plastic latch that locks/unlocks the latch (red lever in the picture) broke within 1 month of purchase. The inner "d-shaped" hole on the red latch that sits over the latch's "d-shaped" metal post was cleaned inside in one night. It's locked but won't unlock and we're stuck in the trailer. When we tried to unlock it, he turned around but didn't unbolt the latch. The plastic tab of the bolt was…

The replacement door lock works better than the original.

The old one is easy to remove by unscrewing the 2 screws on the edge plate. You must do this to have enough slack to pull the assembly out. Then remove the bolt handle. It is fixed with an AC clamp. I just took a pair of pliers and pulled it out. I put in a new one but didn't use the clip. Not necessarily. From the inside, unscrew the 4 screws and push the assembly in and out of the door to remove. Pour a little oil into the keyhole and mechanism latch. Insert the new one in the opposite…
