The gate can stay open which is nice when carrying a load that requires two arms.
We are most pleased with this gate which is stationed at the top of our stairs. We have 2 miniature pinchers who race down and up the stairs when we go out. Leaving the gate open towards the "down stairs” position, assures me that there will be no problems at the top stair when we come in from outside and they charge up the stairs well before me. They simply race up the stairs and through the opening!
- The locking mechanism on this gate is easy to use, but also secure enough to prevent even the most determined little ones from escaping
- The gate may be too bulky to move around and store when not in use
