Used to upgrade a recently purchased refurbished Unibody Mac Book A1342 Mid 2010 (Model ID 7.1). I replaced the normal 2 1GB memory sticks with these. The system had no problems registering the new memory and the system information confirms that 2 x 4GB modules are installed and working properly. I ran the boot hardware memory test function and found no errors. Yesterday I replaced a standard 250GB mechanical hard drive before the storage arrived. Installed a 160GB SATA II SSD and the speed boost was outstanding. I haven't seen that much of an increase in system performance going from 2GB to 8GB, but I know it will help. If you're running OS X Sierra on this, it's pretty impressive that a 2010 machine can be so nimble when running a modern 2017 OS.
