The creases in the felt look awful!

I bought this to felt the bottom of a 6" x 9" bronze sculpture. It would have worked but it was folded in a blister pack just like the picture. When I unfolded it I thought I'd cut out what I need, the creases on the felt look horrible however they wouldn't be visible at the bottom of the sculpture but it just looked bad it's good I did didn't spend much on it. I think if you wanted this for the base of a lamp or jar it would work really well. I bought a similar item from Revain that came rolled up rather than folded.
