This is a serious kit! It contains many different components: hardware, electronics and software, but in the end they all combine to create a beautiful robotic arm! Robotic arms are popular due to their cool factor combined with the fact that they are one of the best kits how much room they leave to learn and I definitely feel like I learned a lot from this set. I particularly appreciate the variety of control methods included - rather than just having one method, this kit can be pre-programmed, controlled via Bluetooth from an app, controlled with the included joystick controller, and even controlled via a PS2 controller connection. . I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a slightly complex (although instructions can be found online) but useful build.
