WORTH THE PROBLEM! on bedding

Once installed these bed stays do their job really well. Their disadvantage is the installation. You have to lift the mattress, often just a corner and sometimes the whole mattress. I had 2 versions of this product. In the first, two straps were connected in the middle. On the second, this particular model, the straps are separate. With both, it's quite difficult to determine if you have arthritis, back problems, or similar problems. First, place the braces crosswise on the mattress. Adjust the length of the straps by measuring from the center bracket on each end so they are about 6 inches from the corner of the bed on each end. You should be able to walk on either side of the bed and footboard when you put the braces on. I recommend starting at the foot of the bed after you have attached the flat sheet/fitted sheet. Attach 1 strap (any one is fine; I provide written instructions so I need to be clear which is which) using all 3 clips to the left corner at the foot of the bottom sheet. Pass the other end of the strap 1 under the mattress approximately halfway down the mattress on the right side opposite where you attached the straps. Take Strap 2 and attach it with all 3 of its clips to the right hand corner at the foot of the bottom sheet bed. Pass the other end of the strap 2 under the mattress to about the middle of the mattress on the left. Now attach all 3 clips from Strap 2 to the left corner of the bottom sheet at the head end of the bed. Now go to the right side of the bed and attach all 3 belt clips 1 to the right corner of the bottom sheet at the head end of the bed, done. As you can see, there will be many ups and downs. Initial installation of the mattress. To replace the floor/tensioning plate, carefully push out one corner at a time. I say cautiously because you save yourself additional buoyancy if the struts don't snap toward the middle of the mattress. Then put the bottom sheet on, fasten the corners of the sheet to the suspenders, done. Your bottom sheet stays in place no matter how hard you toss and turn in your sleep. I wish I had known about bed frames years ago.
