This device does what it should. This way you can control the smart lock remotely. It was easy enough to set up and connect. I ran into an issue at first because I plugged it in too far from the smart lock and it wouldn't connect, but when I moved it closer to the smart lock, setup was pretty quick. This has already been mentioned in the product description, but please note that the power adapter (plug) is not supplied with this device. It doesn't matter as I have a lot of power adapters at home and used one of my Apple charging adapters for that. The kit only includes the cable and the gateway itself. I suspect this was a way to keep costs down as my other Wi-Fi gateway for another smart lock costs more than this one. I want it to be a plug so it just stays in the socket.
