I used these to replace all the original USB sockets in my caravan that were constantly using power. This isn't usually a problem, but after a few weeks of parking my batteries died and had to be plugged into a charger. These jacks allow me to turn off power to them and eliminate parasitic power losses. The blue LED was a must as it lets me know if they are on. They were easy to change and looked great. They are small enough to fit into thin walls.
