I like that I don't have to get my hands dirty to get the ball out, I also like that the handle/lock isn't part of the ball itself like reese and curt, i think with all that weight twisting the top of the ball it won't carry well if the ball has a button or tab which is why you went with that one. The hard case folds up easily. in my tool box and make sure all the parts are in one place when you need them. Works great on our 2016 Ram 3500 to tow our 20,000 lb gooseneck with trailer and gear.
