I've only used it to extract standing water and not heavier fluids, but it worked well. Suction was quite strong and I don't anticipate any problems using this to extract power steering or a heavier fluid such as motor motor oil.All of the parts appear to be of decent quality, but I would recommend cleaning it and treating the rubber parts after each use, especially if used with caustic fluids.The body is translucent and marked so you can see how much fluid you have extracted. You can also extend the hose, if needed. In addition to using this as an extractor, you can also use it to fill which is handy for fill holes where you can't fit a funnel.Well made of decent quality materials. Works well and easy to use.
