At first glance, this looks like the perfect replacement for carrying a camera, but I reclaimed it after spotting some issues that I was certainly not alone in having. When I tried to use it, I found that there were some issues with the design that weren't unique to me. If you use the slide adjustment to insert the phone, it doesn't slide out the same way, gets stuck and needs fiddling with. After the phone was inserted, I found my hand blocking the phone's lens many times. I also found that the various control buttons are not easy to use and sometimes unresponsive. While this is a unique product there are some design flaws, particularly if your phone has a secure cover that needs to be removed before it is placed in the Pictar box. Much easier to carry around a small camera. I applaud the designers for their idea and the creation of their device, but I think more work is needed to make it more user-friendly. In the meantime, I will continue to carry around a little fine pointing and photographing, because removing the protective case from my phone and assembling the combination will make it easier for me to pick up the camera and take a picture. I have read some of the positive reviews and feel that after some time of daily use there may be a re-evaluation in terms of usability for daily use. However, the design is unique and should be attractive to the technician.
