These things have always been there but I think they're having a renaissance because they're quiet, they pick up all sorts of things without clogging up their insides, they're cordless, obvious and go everywhere effortlessly because they are so light. And they are quiet. Very quiet. You still need a vacuum to suck up dead bugs on your windowsills, but they'll still outperform a vacuum on your floors and carpets, you won't believe it. And your motor will never burn out if you don't clean the house for too long and you have a very hairy dog because first of all they don't actually have a motor. And they are quiet. The only downside is that you have to clean them by hand, which can annoy gentle souls. However, you have a brush to help you with this; Actually, you don't have to touch all those fuzzy things. But then they are silent again. In fact, this model has another disadvantage. I have a more expensive version under a different brand but with the same body design and three brush mechanism, so I am convinced that both are from the same manufacturer and the only difference is the main roller brush that is in this the model has slightly less dense bristles and may even be slightly recessed into the body cavity, requiring the sweeper to work harder. I recommend the more expensive version, since the few euros more are worth it. It's listed under the very odd EZ Spares brand, and it's only $4 more than this version from Alpine. Do you have ringing in your ears? I do. A vacuum cleaner is torture for me. I may even have had a ringing in my ears because of my vacuum cleaner. So these quiet, cheap, quiet, efficient, quiet, simple, quiet things are a godsend in my books.
