UPDATE: I was able to return the faulty part and get a full refund. Due to an experience I did NOT trade for another, I opted for a refund instead and bought from FS.com (Fiberstore). The seller tried to contact me to update the rating so I added a star for his efforts and he indicated that he has a new source that he thinks is better. Your mileage may vary. Initial Rating: 1/5 Stars: When I plugged this SFP adapter into my new switch, I heard a small popping sound and smelled like burning electricity and it doesn't work. My new Dell Switch has no activity lights or network connectivity. Tried another switch, same result.
