Works as described. If you are looking for a cheap anti-theft device, this will work. It's easy to set up and quite reliable in that regard. However, this is the real purpose of the products. Although everything is built in solidly by itself, there are problems: - The cable is short, thin and twisted. It makes it difficult to really find comfort or space, and it could probably be clipped with something stronger, if not a pair of large, solid adult-size scissors. Twisting also means everything goes bad, like your child's cuddly toy. However, due to the small size, although annoying, it can be more difficult to getting out of something like a desk without moving the laptop. what a good deterrent is. Overall it's great for containment but maybe a little pricey for what you get. Basically I got it knowing it comes with their Securetek backpack which is a product I'm very interested in getting soon. EDIT: My original review said it was shaky.
