I'm so bummed. For the first couple months my cats LOVED this thing. Battery life is great, we only put it on the random setting (it's the only setting with a 15min auto shut off). After awhile they didn't play with it, but the noises still got them amped so we'd throw their toys out and turned it on and they knew it was play time. I accidentally bumped into it today, and it fell directly on the side, which snapped the cylinder in the middle around the wiring. Spent an hour trying to glue it together since the only thing holding it together was the wires, but alas, the toy had met it's end. I pulled it apart to show the thin cylinder around the wires - this is the only time it's been dropped, absolutely no durability. It dropped 2 feet onto carpet. So, if you have extremely gentle cats and aren't clumsy, this toy is great! But can't take a single hit :(
