Useless for ground protection or even heavy dust protection.

The description says "Heavy Duty Premium" which is not true. At best, it's half the thickness of a real contract quality tarp. This is definitely NOT the type of tarp that is stiff and heavy, protects the ground, stays in place when you walk, and doesn't fold if there is a crease. This tarp is heavier than the sheet, but doesn't protect the sheet much better because the weave is too loose. It collects underfoot and obscures tools, nails, etc., creating a hazard to the work area and floor. Light enough and pliable enough that I had no trouble loading it all into my top-loading washing machineโ€”something I couldn't do with a contractor's 12" x 15" rigid canvas. This tarp can catch a few drops of paint - as long as you walk on the dripper, that is, it hits the ground DIRECTLY. (For drying by hiding under the surface. Great.) Dust from drywall easily gets to the surface below, and the whole thing becomes a dust collector, holding so much dust that it has to be washed to keep it from being a major source . the dust itself. (So I had to wash it. Unfortunately, high-level drying didn't help to make it firmer.) In short, it's useless for both soil protection and dust protection. Absolute waste of money! Better to use a plastic tarp, an outdoor tarp, or a really thick tarp. I don't think I would risk buying another one without seeing the eyes but if I did I would start comparing the shipping weight to this one and look for something much heavier.
