I really like this "beach tent" but I don't use it for the beach. So far I've used it for lap runs and watching softball games. It's the perfect size for two small chairs, and there's some space in the back where we could put bags or a fridge. I used it once in the rain and although some water had pooled in the back it kept us dry overall. The main complaints I have is that if you are a small person, you may find it difficult to pitch a tent. I'm under 1.50m tall and I'm having a hard time mustering up enough strength to lift the tent, so I need someone to help me. I would say you need to be at least 5ft 4 inches tall to open the tent. Second, it's very difficult to climb in windy weather (ie it's almost impossible for me to tell when the wind has picked up. Even on a stool, I couldn't set up the tent without help). The straps you use to open the tent are essentially ropes that will burn your hands when you open the tent. The final complaint I have is that the carry bag is very fragile, particularly at the seams, so packing the tent can result in the bag breaking.
