Review on Reese 7031400 Tri Ball Mount Hook by Douglas Davis

RUST in less than 2 weeks! Haven't used it for towing yet but wanted to confirm what others are posting here for rust reviews. You can see in the photo that it has already started to rust. I have had this item for a little over 2 weeks and it has already started to rust. I expect a company like Reese, which has been around for a long time, to have more, at least slightly better quality when it comes to something I've never even drawn anything with. I read the reviews before buying this and took a chance because it was a decent price, better than Walmart at least, and I kept an eye on it for rust. We had a downpour 2 days after installation and after a few days it started to rust. As I said, I haven't connected anything to even say the rust was caused by trailer rubbing. The part is made from heavy duty steel, feels solid and sturdy and fits my 2015 Ford F150 with no issues. Please don't feel bad about my comments. Don't use them as work trucks so I know that's a factor for them. I use it for towing, I don't care if it looks good or not, I'm just helping those for whom it might be a factor if they're worried about looks.
