I am a car geek β I love tinkering with cars and I love keeping my drives clean and tidy. So when it came time to start thinking about how best to wash our cars, the biggest challenge for me was avoiding all those little scratches that usually happen when we wash and polish our cars. I did a little research and heard a lot of people talking about using lambswool gloves. So I decided to give it a try and have been very impressed so far. I use the two-bucket method, which means I have one bucket of clean water and one bucket of soapy water. Once the lambswool mitt leaves the soapy water and touches the car, it doesn't return to that bucket until it's in a bucket of clean water. This helps keep the soapy water clean and free of sand, which causes most of the scratches on car trim. I highly recommend buying two of these in addition to the lambswool glove, The Grit Guard Insert - Black. They help keep the sand at the bottom of the bucket and off your ride! The mittens have withstood well over half a dozen washes. I actually bought two - one for the car, one for hubcaps and such. I don't use the same car glove that I use on the wheels - just added protection and peace of mind for me. As for the lint, to start with there was some fresh lint out of the box. However, after rinsing them well before first use, I haven't noticed any lint issues since. They hide very well and I was very impressed with how soft they are and how they don't want to "cling" on the sand. What can I say, if you're a car fanatic like me, you deserve the very best for your rides - and this glove is definitely one of the best!
