I ordered these alongside other beach and river shoes because they were prime on ebay. I needed them just in time for my son's weekend and figured this would be just the kind of situation that would justify paying for ebay prime. So imagine my disappointment when what was delivered was something like . Well, I don't even know how to describe it. but look at the photo and see for yourself. Overnight delivery aside, there are a few important features that I think everyone should look for in a good pair of beach shoes. 1) Materials. Ideally neoprene with a rubber outsole for traction and some protection from sharp rocks etc but thin enough that you retain some level of feel. 2) fit. Velcro or similar to keep them securely in place considering jumping into rivers/surf etc. 3) Some sort of drainage ability to allow water to escape from inside the shoe. The picture on ebay Cressi Noumea indicated that I would tick all those boxes. What I received was a leather upper. yes skin Of all the things on God's earth that aren't happy in bed. Same skin and water here. That's why we have Dubbin! I could go on, but you get the point. The shoes were badly run down and now need to be returned which is a pain when you live in sticks. ebay really let me down. As an afterword to this review, I returned the shoes that offended me through the ebay Pass My Parcel service. The correct shoes were dispatched within a few days and to be honest Cressy - they were exactly as expected on first viewing. The shoes appear to be very good and exactly what I wanted so I can only assume the ebay robot simply picked the wrong box in stock.
