Review on Enhance Your Dining Experience with the RSVP Endurance Salt Server and Spoon by Danny Poulin

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Recommended by Alton Brown

I bought this salt server over 5 years ago after being advised by famed Food Network chef Alton Brown. It's pretty enough to keep on your stovetop or counter at all times. We use coarser kosher salt for cooking on a daily basis compared to a shaker. The only part that appears dirty is the lid. From oven spray to dust in the air. We try not to add the salt until it is completely empty (keeps the salt fresh and allows the container to be cleaned). Absolutely recommend everyone to have a salt server. One star off: the spoon is cute but not functional. The spoon is inside the container and the lid can even be closed completely. You'll be touching the salt with your fingers when you pick up the spoon, so why not just tickle the salt with your fingertips instead? I think your spoon should be on the outside of the lid. In this form, the spoon simply lives in the kitchen drawer.

Pros
  • FUNCTIONALITY: This attractive server comes with a stainless steel salt scoop and features a hinged lid for easy one-handed access and countertop storage.
Cons
  • Not bad, but...
