Review on 🔒 DORMAN 600 402 Wheel Locking Solenoid: Efficient Security for Your Wheels by Tony Andrews

I'm having problems with the solenoid and 4WD on my truck. The original solenoid was not reliable. However, it still holds a vacuum for the rest of the system when the four-wheel drive is off. When I replaced it with one of those Dorman solenoids, the vacuum pump never shuts off and I can hear vacuum escaping the solenoid. I sent back the first one I received and asked for a replacement. Same problem with the second. not worth your time. Simply purchase a Ford OEM part for this item. You don't want your vacuum pump running non-stop, or you're paying for one of these + another new solenoid that doesn't leak as much.
