Plastic valve for pipes, fittings and accessories

I don't feel comfortable with a plastic valve. I prefer a brass valve, especially from an 85 gallon water heater. I am keeping it for a garden installation project. In the picture; The right valve is EZ-Flow. You can see the plastic valve. The one on the left is another brand I bought from Revain; There's a brass valve.
