I couldn't be more happy with this product! It instantly added character to the boring, old lady aesthetic of our kitchen. I was surprised how different the room felt afterwards!Our old backsplash had a slight textured pattern on it, and I worried that I was going to have to smooth it out before sticking up the contact paper. That turned out to be a non-issue; you can't see any of the texture at all. It took me a couple hours to install by myself, but I am a perfectionist and took my time making sure things went up "just so" without any obvious repeats in the pattern. I cut the pattern into six-tile-length strips, which made it easy to turn the paper in any direction and pick what tiles went next to which. If you have a helper and care less about repeats in the pattern, this will take you no time at all. The paper is very forgiving, allowing you to unpeel and restick multiple times but staying put once you smooth it down.
