I've had this thing for a long time but haven't used it. This thing saved me a lot of time and headaches today. I just ran a coaxial line from the attic to the living room. I connected it with an F-type keystone connector and a short homemade coax cable. When I plugged everything in and turned on the FiOS box, there was nothing but a blank screen. I couldn't figure out if it was the new drop or the short cable connected to the box. I remember having it in my pocket so I decided to test the short run first. Connected a speaker to one end and a tester to the other and the LED turned red with no beep, so the wire was shorted. I redid and checked the connections one end at a time and got a beep. Plugged the cable back into the FiOS box and the TV worked great. I'm so glad I bought it because this little thing saved me a lot of trouble trying to figure out what the problem could be and having to crawl back to the attic. I highly recommend this if you are considering installing coax in your home.
