Looks like this: 3 USB-A 3.0 ports (not 3.1 - no big deal), 2 photo card slots, Network port, HDMI port, USB-C power-in port. So this replaces all the keys I was carrying. I still have a few Micro-USB-C (male) and USB-A (male) ports, but I need a lot of different USB-a adapters for that. Now almost everything works on a not too big button. The only thing it doesn't cover is the iPhone Lightning, but it's not cross-platform and this device is trying to be cross-platform. Since most Lightning cables still plug into USB-A, you can just take one with you. I have a USB-C lighting cable, but it's not essential. I'm using it with a 13" Macbook Pro with Touch Bar. Haven't tried everything yet, but here's what works so far: - USB-A for data and power, - USB-C power input (I haven't tried whether there is an output, but on a 4-port laptop it is not needed), - SD card for photo. I'll try the HDMI output and LAN port and report back. I don't understand why it won't work. I haven't tried to see how many USB-A devices can be powered from one USB-C power input per dongle. It doesn't matter to me or is particularly realistic (it might matter to you What I like is that I don't have to carry around a lot of Apple USB sticks (stupid dumb arrogant assholes) or most of my old USB sticks..Apple treated the USB-C switch with its signature aloof, thoughtless arrogance. It will be a good move in the end. Kei ne proprietary power supplies more. We've already been there for low-power devices. Now we'll be all the way there. You have a power adapter and all your other devices will eventually be USB-C. This is an improvement. It would be better if Apple included 1 or 2 old USB-A ports along with 2 or 3 new USB-C ports. We will all survive this. This BizHUB from Juiced Systems looks like everything I need to get by with it. In less than a year I might not even need it. It's great at the moment.
