Review on 🔧 Korky 528MP QuietFILL Platinum Fill Valve: Easy-to-Install and Universal (USA Made) by Trey Samuels

These valves are complete junk. I've installed 4-5 now with no problems. I decided to try them instead of the Fluidmaster brand because they go bad every 4-5 years and I was hoping they would last longer. It was installed well in the tank, but when I tried to connect the water hose, it twisted. Now I'm very careful because I know it's a metal hose on top of a plastic tube, so I lined it up, backtracked until the grooves lined up, and then started tightening it. Prepared the ordered parts. I went to shoot the first one and found the mounting nut would not loosen. I'm not a very muscular person and I did NOT use any tools to put it on and I *only* put it on, so the fact that I couldn't untie it was a problem. I pushed the device into the tank from the inside and tried to loosen it again. nope And my hands kept slipping off the super tiny zippers, but. I took a pair of pliers and went into town. This thing *chewed* the hell out and kept spinning in circles. Not only did the water hose have a cross thread on the device, the supplied lock nut also had a cross thread on the shaft. I ended up having to use PVC cutters to cut off the shank which still wasn't enough and I ended up needing a flat head to take the ring off. If you're thinking of buying this device, look elsewhere. I'm getting angry again while writing this post. It's 2 hours of my life that I can't get back. And to Korky, firstly, you better unscrew the lock nut! The one on the Fluidmaster looks like a real nut and is a lot easier to grab in this situation. Second, assemble the device from better plastic! It is unacceptable that this is easily exceeded.
