First of all I explain this review that I did not use much shaving soap. But I still have a lot of experience with foams and shaving gels. So why did I give this Arco a solid (and I mean solid) 5 star rating? Because this shaving soap has lasted me for many months of daily use without any major loss of material. In addition to this great performance, the soap has given me a great shave and works really well with my safety razor (which I love). I use a plain badger hair brush with this soap after cleaning my face with hot water and get great results. You will use too much at first, but that's okay. Once you're settled you'll learn that a good swipe over stubble and a damp face will get you very good results if you have a brush (almost a must). For the price these bars offer I have nothing bad to say about this product. The smell is pleasant to me and my girlfriend has commented on it many times and she loves it. Each bar looks like it can/will last around 9-12 months with daily use. The only criticism would be: the holdall is damp (due to a brush that is not completely dry), the red sticker and lettering can peel off the aluminum paper surface and leave a mess in your bag. But if you stick to it and put the soap in the paper towel before you put it in your pocket, then you're good to go.
