I have upgraded and replaced 4) 35 year old ceiling lights that had a round glass globe over the bulb. 2 in the hallway, 1 in the laundry room and 1 by the front door. At first glance they look like recessed lights, as my brother-in-law said. pure white light. Brightness 950 lumens like a 100 watt light bulb. the rest of the old lamps in my house are yellowish/amber in color. I am looking for the same LED ceiling fan light. You need an on/off switch for the tensioning chain. I may have to improvise for my ceiling fans. Two years ago I installed an LED light in my dressing room. still works and all the little LEDs still shine brightly. These headlights use less than half the energy of my old 20 percent. The guide includes a list of recommended light dimmers. Simply replace the wall switch with a dimmer if you find it too bright. Nice upgrade and should save you money. Stop living in the dark by turning off the lights to save money. I need an LED light for my porch. all are positive. The only downside is that the light costs you money. not expensive to replace what is not broken
